We want this site to be usable by everyone, including readers using screen readers, keyboard navigation or magnification.
What we aim for
We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. In practice that means semantic headings in a logical order so screen readers can navigate an article properly, text alternatives for meaningful images, colour contrast sufficient to read comfortably, full keyboard operability without a mouse, and text that reflows rather than breaking when enlarged.
Where we currently fall short
We are not claiming full conformance. This is a small site and some older articles predate these standards, so heading structure and image descriptions are inconsistent in places. We are working through them as articles are revised.
Tell us when something does not work
If you hit a barrier on this site, please report it through the contact form. Tell us the page and what happened, and what assistive technology and browser you were using if you know. Accessibility reports are treated with the same priority as factual corrections, and we will tell you what we have done about it.
